Musical Theatre

Musical theatre combines singing, acting and dancing to create musical productions that showcase multiple talents. Students will enjoy these classes if they enjoy all genres of dance and love to sing and act. We aim to develop confidence in these classes as well as expose students to an array of performance styles, environments and opportunities. These classes will foster a love for the performing arts that may lead students to audition for bigger musicals all around the world.

Dance

Dance is an international language through which stories are told. Our dance classes focus on developing sound technique that will prepare students for careers in the musical theatre industry as well as in the dance industry. Dance is important as it can allow students to express themselves without words and encourages freedom. Children and teenagers of all ages will love to learn dance if seeking a career in the arts later in life or even just as an after school activity that will keep them fit and happy.

Vocal

There is often a lack of males in the dance and musical theatre industry and with our newly added "Boys Can Do It" classes we hope to encourage more boys to take to the stage. In these classes we will focus on giving boys the opportunity to develop their technique as well as make new friends and have heaps of fun!

Private Lessons

Twenty minute private lessons are also available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Billy Lids aims to prepare students with skills for auditions, performing solos and seeks to allow students the opportunity to compete in eisteddfod competitions.
